About SAIL Networks

SAIL Networks is a full-service network solution provider, specializing in telecom data networks. Our expertise is in building hybrid networks, where a combination of wireless and fibre is required to offer rapid time-to-market deployments, while at the same time meeting or exceeding high bandwidth requirements.

In recent years, customers have been demanding increasingly higher Internet speeds due to multimedia, streaming and gaming applications that are bandwidth hungry. Ideally, fibre or wireless solutions, such as 4G LTE-A or 5G, are required. Wireless solutions are faster to deploy at a much lower cost than fibre. However, fibre provides ultra-reliability and easy expansion capabilities to meet ever-growing high bandwidth demands. It is a trade-off between the two solutions. SAIL specializes in offering solutions that meet the requirements of both wireless and fibre, offering hybrid networks.

Services

SAIL provides services to our customers that to help: design, optimize, procure equipment build and deploy telecom networks. We work using multiple business models: BT (Build and Transfer), BOT (Build Operate and Transfer), and BTN (Build Turnkey Network).

SAIL works with OEMs, overseas suppliers, and subcontractors to take full responsibility of the roll out of the network in a timely and cost-effective manner. Our network of professionals will ensure that we establish a reliable subcontracting process so that highest quality and efficiency are offered to our customers. Once the project is given to SAIL, you don’t have to worry about the delivery of the network from the perspectives of both budget and delivery timelines. We deliver quality and accountability, to provide peace of mind to our customers.

SAIL specializes in fixed wireless networks, fibre rollouts, tower or pole installations, power management for towers, hydro company contracting, RF planning and field testing.

SAIL has the expertise in the design of fixed wireless networks. This involves detailed RF Planning based on radio selection, antennas, sectors, tower heights and terrain. SAIL specializes in providing RF heat maps of coverage and signal levels.

SAIL has the expertise in the design of point-to-point and point-to-multipoint networks using microwave and broadband links. The design team is trained to design for both licensed and unlicensed frequency spectrum. The selection of antennas along with radios play a major role in medium to long haul links, ranging from 1KM to 100KM. One of the specializations of SAIL is to provide wireless links over bodies of water and mountainous terrains.

SAIL has the expertise in Access networks including: outdoor WiFi, WiMAX and LTE-A technologies. In designing Access networks, SAIL engineers can select appropriate sectors and can do capacity and traffic engineering analysis.

Pole/Tower installations require civil works and the use of excavation equipment. SAIL has contractors who have expertise in excavation and the building of concrete foundations for large tower installations. SAIL has erected towers from 25 meters to as high as 100 meters.

In installing poles or towers, SAIL is specialized in guy-wires which are critical to provide  strength and stability for large towers.

Once network design has been completed, it is important to deploy the network appropriately. SAIL engineers are trained to install equipment in high towers using boom trucks and bucket trucks.  SAIL contractors are certified for safety, with fall-arrest licences. While installing radios and antennas, it is important to do wind load analyses, taking into account the height of equipment, size of antennas and types of mounting brackets to be installed. In addition, SAIL engineers perform waterproofing for all cables and connectors, so that the equipment is not only ruggedly installed, but there is also no water leak due to weather conditions or condensation.

In network deployment, IP planning plays a critical role in addition to the selection of appropriate routers and switches. SAIL engineers have the expertise to install routers and set up configurations for seamless operation.

SAIL engineers design power circuitry, including the ground plane analysis. SAIL engineers help customers get the approval from the local utility company so that an approved power connection at the site can be obtained.

Fibre optic network deployment involves laying fiber and deploying optical termination equipment. SAIL engineers have the expertise in both buried and aerial fibre. We deploy both traditional underground fibre installations and micro-duct fibre installations. For aerial fibre installations we work with utility companies and use utility poles to connect the fibre.

In terms of optical termination equipment, SAIL engineers are trained in equipment from

Tier I OEMs. SAIL engineers design fibre optic network equipment selection including power supplies.
